The SEC has some work to do to get back on top.

I'm sure they're up for it.

It's not like tOSU fans would even have to travel far to go play Kent St. or BGSU

I think it's funny people care about how many home games a team has. Especially when there is every reason in the world to do so, since it means more money for the program.

I think teams who have less home games either have less because they can't get people to come play them at home(can't afford it), or their AD's are too stupid to even think about it.

TRUE.

I think the 2013 Southern Miss game was supposed to be played in Mississippi, but Southern Miss made more money by selling the game back to Nebraska and being paid. Otherwise, Nebraska would have had seven home games in 2013.

This is spot on. That is the exact reason we see the teams from power conferences usually only play 1 other power conference team. For power conference teams, setting up games requires a home-and-home setup. That guarantees an extra away game one year, and takes money out of the budget. Financially, it makes more sense to set up a game with a team from a lesser conference that you can pay to come play. In 2012, Nebraska generated over $28 million in ticket revenue alone for 7 home games. That comes out to $4 million a game. Nebraska would much rather pay a team a million or less to come play and take the additional ~$3 million in revenue as opposed to a home and home, where they would have the extra away game and miss out on the $4 million in revenue.

Oklahoma plays 6 home games a year.
Other programs are just scared pussies needing mama to hold your hand.

Just think if Oklahoma actually played nine or ten games each year in the State of Oklahoma. I know some schools in the Big 12 sometimes have played up to 11 games in their state, even their bowl game is played in state.

That number will be significantly lower for 2014. Nobody in the conference plays 8 homes games and a couple of them play only 6 home games.

The Pac 12 and Big 12 will always be at the bottom because they play 9 conference games, no surprise in that one.

I want to see the list excluding conference games. Doesn't the conference make the conference schedule instead of the universities?

I was a bit surprised, because in 2013 it was the Big Ten. They averaged 7.25 home games per team.
SEC #2 with 7.14.
ACC #3 with 6.93
PAC #4 with 6.67
Big 12 #5 with 6.6
