Probably 2 out of the 3 of the following are pretenders: Ravens, Lions and Panthers

I think every other team is in good shape

heard that for about a decade.

it never gets old.

I saw Brady play Bama in the Orange Bowl back in 99/00 season. He's a hell of a QB, and while I'm obviously tired of hearing about last year's SB...this is a new year...and in this new year, we are undefeated and you aren't so find your own thread

I think you're correct.

Franchise wreckers.
its VERY hard to come back from such a demoralizing defeat in the biggest game of your life.

only a few teams have really shown they can do it.

Laundry doesn't win championships.

There is so much turnover in the NFL that I'm not sure you can link one year's team to the next 90% of the time. In the time I took to write this, New England probably cut 2 pass rushers and the Chiefs probably signed and cut 2 running backs.

Carolina immediately comes to mind as PRETENDERS

Cam looks awful, that defense isnt holding opponents to 3 points every week

Yep. Teams get to SB caliber and can only stay there for a season or two with the pieces that got them that far before free agency kills it.

NE has been the exception. Their QB and coach are ridiculous.

I think we figured that out last year. Just another instance of Siemian being better than.

Look at baby Cam with the towel over his head again.

Of the 2-0 teams I've watched, Carolina has jumped out at me as the most mediocre.

coach
QB
coordinator

that consistency at your core helps. ive seen my pats lose 2 miserable superb owls, only to have that core return and win more and more.

thats the problem in the nfl. coaching and coordinator turnover. how many coaches, coordinators, and offenses has matty ice had?

This is true, but don't discount the importance of continuity with the coach & QB(maybe even ownership). Stability means something. Talent at the QB position does, too, of course.

Thats all i got

Denver looks so for real IMO

I like Detroit enough as a playoff team for sure

I think the Raiders defense stinks, dont buy them as a SB contender like most, but a playoff team for sure

Id hate to see America punished by the falcons in the SB again, but they are pretty for real, probably a 11 or 12 win team

I think KC is really in the conversation for best team in the NFL, Eric Berry really could sting badly by seasons end though

Duante Culpepper was awesome once, too.
was talking about him with my boss the other day. hes from Nebraska. Told me he used to go to UFL games and saw maurice clarrett play there. he couldnt remember the name of the "fat black QB who sucked at the end of his career" who played there. it was culpepper. he said he looked "awful" in those UFL games.

He played for my hometown Sacramento Mountain Lions.
