Hopefully Denver. A swap Lock for Jimmy G would be best for both parties. Broncos need a winner under center, and Lock would be back working with Rich Scangarello, his first OC, who he had good success with.

The 49ers have no reason to rush this. I don't think Lance is ready and there are no remaining guarantees in Garoppolo's comparatively cheap contract. Garoppolo will be the 49ers 2022 Week 1 starter unless Lance takes a big step forward or someone makes the 49ers an offer they can't refuse.

While he isn’t a perfect QB, if he were more sturdy, Lance would not be a 49er. His fragility is his primary problem.
