Let's see how good some of these legends are this season before hyping it. Both Brady and Brees looked kind of washed by the end of last season.
Yeah i think people are vastly underrating Ryans career to this point. A defensive collapse and 2 bad play calls really skews opinions. Even without the SB his career accomplishments are already better than some QBs already in the HoF and hes got 4-5 years to add to them. And thats the divisions 3rd best QB. Plus as you stated the other divisions being discussed are all divisions where the careers are overAlso, you know what's interesting is that had the Falcons beat the Pats, Ryan would have a SB, Brady would have one less, meaning the division count would be the same, but Ryan would be looked at in a whole different light. Would even strengthen the case for the NFCS.
Marino, Kelly, Esiason & Bledsoe (& Jeff George if anyone cares)Wasnt there a time where Marino, Kelly & Esiason all played in the division together?
20 posts and no one has even mentioned Jameis Winston yet?
Yeah. Marino & Esiason got Montana'd & Kelly got NFC East'd LOLVery nice. Crazy that only one of them has a ring and its as a backup. 6 appearances between the other 3 though.
Schaub and Winston are both decent depth adds imo
Yes, better than most. The problem is you are overselling all of them. The top two are no longer great QBs, just in name only. Even matching them up against their rivals this year none of them are even top 3 and probably not top 5. How can the ybe an all time great QB division if none of the QBs are even in the top 5 against the other guys playing right now? Again, if you want to just go just by their name and not who they are in 2020 I agree from a career perspective but that isn't really reflective of the play on the field this year. That's why I brought up Montana and Elway. Clearly Montana wasn't an all time great at that time even though he had a great playoff run.Regardless of stats hes still 14th in wins all time and has an MVP right? Would you say thats better than most divisions 3rd best QB historically?
Best 3rd string QB in his division...20 posts and no one has even mentioned Jameis Winston yet?
Best 3rd string QB in his division...

Historically I agreeIm talking historically though
So which do you want to include? You can't use them both. 33 TDs is pretty good. Let's ignore the 5,237 interceptions and call it a good year...He threw for 33 TD last year. The next closest person in his division is his eventual backup Drew Brees, who connected for 27 passing TDs.
