They have played well tonight but are falling victim to the predictable passive let our goalie save our ass style of the Coyotes :p

Yeah, I thought we played a really good game tonight (except Semin). The effort was there, we controlled possession by and large, and the defense was solid. Phoenix had about 4 scoring chances and got 3 of them. We had about a dozen, and got 2.

I though Neuvirth played pretty poorly. If he makes about 3-4 decent saves, we win. Everything else was like a slow hand pitch toss to his glove from the wing. Wasn't much asked of him (Coyotes held to 18 shots) and he didn't rise to the occasion at all.

Need to finish! It's frustrating, but we just have to keep working. They play more like tonight, they'll win more often than not.

I get your frustration though. This season has been about the worst I can remember, mostly b/c our expectations are so high.

Same kind of thing happened with the Penguins the year they won the Cup. Maybe not having the best regular season success could be a good thing for the Caps, who knows.
