when was the last undefeated conf record in your league?

Off the top of my head, I don't think anybody has ever gone undefeated in the Big East. That includes the old Big East.

The closest was probably a couple of UConn teams with a loss or two.

True. There's never been an unbeaten Big East team within the conference. That league was too bad ass for a long time for that. A 1-loss team has only happened twice in the Big East regular season.

1984-85 St John's (15-1)--Georgetown (14-2) won Big East Tournament
1995-96 UConn (17-1)--won Big East Tournament

Could argue that it was a combination of toughness and a lack of a true blueblood. Big East had many very good programs, but none of their programs were on the same level of a Kansas, Duke, UNC or Kentucky.
