I think that is the problem with both GSW and Memphis, no one is sure they can stay healthy to keep it up.

That and the Spurs are still around even thouh they have been "too old" for about a decade.

Everyone knows how good they are, but they just aren't flashy. Their style of play is by far the least entertaining to the casual fan, but they are very effective and do what they want to do and play their style of ball no matter who the opponent is. Not a team I would want to play come playoff time.

Literally the last team I would want to see Houston play in the playoffs. Best front court in the league with the best perimeter defender is a problem.

A lot of their numbers are much better when compared to last year. FG% defense notably but also averaging an extra .5 3pters a game and an extra 2.5 trips to the FT line.

We need to see more of them to tell if they've reached another level as a team or its just a small sample size

Sort of. They may come around and start playing better. They have a lot of young talent.

Things turn around quickly in the NBA. Especially when young guys start buying into defense.

This is the only team I would fear as a Warriors fan to face in the playoffs. If the entire squad is healthy come playoff time, they're gonna be a hard out for anyone.

They worry me as well. Wasn't that long ago the Spurs were a 1 seed, Memphis was an 8 seed and Memphis knocked SA from the playoffs. And the Grizz are alot better now than they were then.

Are you suggesting that they wear out?

When they lose in the playoffs, its almost always due to 3pt shooting or more recently lacking a real closer at the end of close games. The grinding thing is a big strength.

Courtney Lee is the big wild card on the team. He is averaging over 16pts a game so far this year. Thats huge for Memphis.
