When are they gonna consider knee-on-knee hits the same as head shots?

Knee-on-knee hits are dirty plays, but, as has been said before, are not nearly as dangerous as hits to the head. Knee pain for life is something you can deal with. Mental incapacity is a much bigger issue.

Regardless of the relative dangers of a knee injury versus a head injury... the fact remains that both can have devastating consequences. The act of targeting a players knee should hold some repercussions.

Orr is a piece of shit, we all know that. Him getting off the hook on this one, IMO is a disgrace.

It should have repercussions. They just shouldn't be as severe as head shots.

Knee on knee aren't as dangerous as head shots. Are they as dirty? Yes. Definitely. But the possible ramifications they pose aren't as great as a head shot.

I agree in a way but knee injuries prematurely ended Bobby Orr's career and other players like Pavel Bure.

They are dangerous, not as dangerous as head shots, but it's something that needs to be taken out of the game too. If you're going to get beat, don't stick your leg out and knee on knee the guy. That's just a pussy move if you ask me.

I don't disagree with that. Regardless, Colin once again F'ed this one up. Orr is a known POS. His action on Couture wasn't an accident. He targeted him. I just don't see how they let that one go:confused:

That's true, but it doesn't mean they can't enforce the rule for knee-on-knee hits. JMO
