College Football Season is almost upon us

This is kind of like my Christmas season. Lots of food, fun, family and friends. It's rare for me to actually go to a game anymore - too much of a hassle and too expensive. For the price of one ticket now days I can buy enough food to feed an army. So that's basically what my wife and I have been doing the last couple of years. Tailgating in our backyard, cooking, having our kids and their friends come over (even though the youngs tend to annoy me sometimes). Drinking a lot of beer and gong back and forth between multiple games on the TV...until the A&M game comes on. I usually have a pretty good buzz by the time it's over...

Corn Dogs for this week

Excellent Idea! Probably do some of those mini corn dogs for finger foods and munchies.

I always do Beef for the Thanksgiving game. We might not play Texas anymore but I have a lot of nurses in my family and most of them have to work the holidays so we do Turkey the week before or the week after.

Meth. Because I feel like I've been waiting for the season so long that when it starts I'm not gonna be able to sleep anyway.

My brother has a smoker and is actually smoking a duck. Funny considering he is a UM fan.
I have been to close to 200 Ducks games in person.

Not once have I been to one of these games where the opposing teams fans are cooking Duck.

Heck, I bet our tailgate has even cooked Duck.

I know we once grilled Cougar when WSU came to town. I know we had Bear sausage for breakfast vs Cal.

Ya, we have a redneck friend with hounds that we tailgate with. But that moonshine he brings.... :flame:

Never tried smoking or grilling duck. Doesn't sound good. Not even a turducken, or whatever then hell it is called.
I try to make a theme out of most of them but it is hard being how everyone we play has a mascot that is either a cat or a bird. Maybe I can ask the Asians down the street for some ideas

I've decided I'll be having some baby back ribs for the Wisconsin game.

That's as far as I've planned.
