I keep hearing Clowney rumors at number two. I can't see us doing it, nor do I want us to but if we did, where would he go in the line? I don't think he is the inside man we need on the line, and with Long and Quinn why would we draft a DE?

This is a little premature, like Chris Long jumping the snap count in every game.

(I kid..I'm a huge Chris Long fan)

Trade Long?? Or long could move inside on passing downs he played some in college I believe. He's a freak once every 5 year pass rusher. And if Quinn or long went down with an injury you would look like a genius. It's up to the coaches to get creative and be able to use them all. And don't forget Quinn will be due a massive contract soon when he becomes a FA.

We trade down to either a team wanting Clowney or a QB.

The Texans could take Clowney or Manziel as well.

Absolutely trading back would be the best. I hope with the Browns then ATL to pick at 6.

I think at worst we end up at #6 trading with Atlanta who REALLY wants Clowney...if we can find a way to deal with Cleveland to go down from #2 to #4, that would be a DREAM scenario...

Oh I much rather trade down or draft Watkins.... I have no intentions to draft Clowney, but why would we draft a player who wouldn't get full playing time? And the players he would spilt time with are two of our best players! Even if Long jumps to the inside on passing downs, what about 1st and second down? This is the 2nd overall pick, I believe we need a player who will impact the team positively RIGHT AWAY!

Right retro... Watkins should be the first pick whether we draft at #2, #4 or #6. I am 100% on board with that. As I have stated before, IMO, the first 4 picks should go in this order WR, OT or OLB, S, OT or OLB

I wouldn't be upset if we traded out of the 2nd pick, but I also wouldn't be upset if we drafted Clowney either. My preference would be to draft Bridgewater if he's available, but if not there are advantages to drafting Clowney. This league is a passing league. And even the best defensive backs are vulnerable to the liberal rules that are designed to hugely benefit the passing game. Therefore a ferocious pass rush becomes the best way to stop the offense from taking advantage of this fact. 3 defensive ends on the field like Clowney, Quinn, and Long, and maybe even a fourth like Hayes would be just hell for the offense to block. A holding call against the offense is often just as good as a sack. Remember, Fisher played in the Bears 4-6, so he knows how valuable a good pass rush is in disrupting the offense. It's not out of the realm of possibility that we draft Clowney.

I'd trade him to the Redskins for three #1's and a #2.

Since your insane HC and GM are going to pass on yet another superior QB and stick with deer in the headlights Sam, you may as well take Clowney. Long can play DT no problem.

Well RobBase, if Fisher does not believe Watkins or Matthews can help his flailing offense, I am sure we will see Clowney in a Rams uni. It would be a stupid wasted pick at 2 but what is a fan to do when you have this level of craziness going on. All we can do is hope for the best.

I agree Boss, if we stay at 2 i wouldn't have a problem with Clowney. good call on the holding penalties

I guess my first question is….

Are the Rams going to stay with Bradford at QB? If they think it is time to move on I would say Maziel. If Bradford is the guy then are they happy with the O-Tackles? Barksdale out Matthews in?

Then I would say trade down and let a team pick Clowney. He is a constant headache I would way nothing to do with.

The Rams say Bradford is the guy… but maybe a smokescreen while they decide because he counts 17m against the cap. I just wonder if the Vikings sitting at 8 and they need a QB would they be interested in Bradford for the 8th pick?? sounds crazy but they would have to give up much more to move up to 2 to get a QB. teams love to know what they are getting vs giving up a lot and taking a chance in the draft.

I am 100% convinced that we will NOT choose anyone at number 2. We will either pick at 4 or 6 and take Sammy Watkins with our first choice...period, end of statement.
