The boos were out in Calgary as the Flames left the ice after the end of each period & when the final horn sounded. In the 3rd period Calgary had a hard time staying on side during a powerplay. It seemed like their heads just weren't in the game. The Panthers play by play guy added salt to the wounds when he said several GM's felt Jokinen would have a hard time getting a contract this season.

I started him as well.:D Then again with my team he's the best goalie I've got.

between MA Fleury, Luongo and Kipper,
through NINE games now, I have two wins.
serves me right for think I was taken care of in net.

your opponent this week isn't even dressing any goalies, is he?

lol. my opponent doesn't seem to be making daily roster changes, so he's left a few points on the bench too.

Yeah it doesn't seem like everyone is participating at this point. I hope that changes. I've already made 8 roster changes. Some better than others.

If you want Henrik I'm sure we can work something out. I'm not overpaying for anyone on your team though.

I'm sure glad I had to better things to do (helping my daughters with their homework) that watching that dismal performance. When Craig Conroy has more goals that Jarome Iginla + Olli Jokinen + Alex Tanguay combined, your team is in trouble.

Meanwhile, the Bolts are 3-0 and coming off back-to-back wins over the teams who battled for the Eastern Conference Championship last season. But no, don't talk to Steve Yzerman as a possible replacement for Darryl Sutter.

Last year, it was the 'Fall for Hall', this year we're 'Droppin' for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins'

Just to follow-up my previous post, you have a 3-day layoff between games and you come out and lay a stinker like that in front of the hometown fans?!? Good on the fans for booing those guys, that's unacceptable.

To me, this looks like a team that is tired of the Sutters (both Darryl and Brent). There needs to be a Sutter cleansing, put Feaster in as GM, get a new head coach, because the players aren't listening and buying in anymore.

maybe 1 hour for every goal against that Steve Staios was on the ice for ;)

Steadily declining Steve Staios - You have to wonder what Cory Sarich is thinking these days, rumours are swirling that he's already gone to Sutter to ask for a trade if he's not going to get any playing time.

This ^

Well, that and you have a really good Penalty Killer as your Power Play coach.

At least your team would win in a bar fight though.....I think the Sharks would lose a pillow fight to teenage girls the way they play. You could put a bunch of eggs in their Tackla's and none of em would be broken after 60 minutes.

So the Flames were 50 minutes late for practice this morning. Practice, which consisted of a 200 ft skating session and a couple drills with pucks, ended after only 20 minutes.

Remember a couple of years ago when the Hawks fired Denis Savard after only four games?

Chicago - 7 letters
Calgary - 7 letters

Denis Savard - 11 letters
Brent Sutter - 11 letters

Hmm, I'm seeing 7/11 which are winners in Vegas (and I'm tired of crapping out).

I guess the players were late to practice due to a closed door session in the locker room beforehand. I wonder who Iggy punched this time.

How would you go about fixing the Flames? Is it time for a firesale yet? I know changing the GM & the coach is a no brainer but the Flames have a number of guys making big money on multi-year contracts. It's not easy to trade those deals. I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem with trading Iginla. Guys like Jokinen & Jaybo would be tough though.
