At 110 AM he tweeted that hate it or love it, Tony Parker is the 3rd best player in the league behind Lebron James & Kevin Durant?

Are you kidding me?

If I'm starting a team next year I am not taking Parker on my team if I'm unable to get Lebron or Durant.

3rd best no. But if you was building a team then for your point guard spot you would definitely have to consider Tony Parker. Before he got hurt later in the season he was a MVP candidate.

He's thinking that Parker is a top 5 player, which IMO he is. He's been playing at an MVP level the last 3 years.

I can see a lot of reasons for him to be the #1 PG which would put him at the 3 overall in todays no bigs game. Also I am sure he is saying today, not if we were building a team for 5 years.

Tony Parker is pretty damn good and he understands the PG position #Westbrook. He also has had and is having great success in the postseason #CP3 #Deron He is a great team player and we have never heard of him alienating a teammate #Rondo. Also his proven longevity is a very underrated attribute in todays what did you do for me today? #Curry

Parker have a great team around him. He's been playing with Timmy D his entire career and Timmy D IMO is the best player of his era....Yes I think he's better than Shaq & Kobe.

But I don't think he's better than CP3 to be honest with you and I'm not sure if he's even better than Westbrook. He is a top 10 player for sure but top 3 I don't think so.

He made 2nd team all NBA (despite being hurt for a month).

He was a serious MVP contender all season until he got hurt.

He still made all NBA 2nd team which puts him in the top 10 even still.

He does nothing but win all the time.

CP3 does nothing but lose all the time.

It is a not a stretch to suggest he is a top 5 player.

The question should be who would you take in his place? He is super quick with a lot of unconventional shots that keep help defenders off balance. Never mind the first line of defense because he is getting past them. He can play the PnR better than any guard out there including CP3. Who is clearly better than him? Too bad you cant rely on stats for this one.

One player is playing with Tim Duncan (1st Ballot HOF & 1st team All NBA this yr) and the other is playing with Blake who can't do anything except dunk.

Does the Clippers get out of round 1 with Parker?

Your hate for Paul is just as bad as Cane/Sman hate for Lebron

I would take him top 5, but he plays so well under Pop's system w/ Duncan. Still having a great season and outstanding in playoffs. Top 3 isn't so far fetched.

Usually not smart to make these tweets after his best stretch of the season. Parker is top 8 for sure but its generally pretty muddled after the top 2.

The thing about Parker is that he is still in his prime. People talk about the Spurs being 'old' but Parker isn't playing 'old' at all.

I dont think its just a product of a system. With TP's ability to get to the paint is there any system he would not be good in?

The thing that keeps Parker from being #3 is those games where he goes 3-10 with wide open looks. But those big comebacks against Golden St? All Tony Parker. Keeping the Grizzlies at arm's reach every time they made a run? Mostly Parker with a little bit of Duncan. Parker has been the best player in every series he has played in during this playoff run.

It's a big stretch. Cause the All nba team is a popularity contest

Parker is carrying this team, I don't think he's ever played better, and its not a stretch to say he's 3rd best right now. His drive left then either take to the rim, or pull up from 15, might currently be the best move in the NBA.....he's too quick, defenders have to guess, and he goes the other way every time.
