I Absolutely believe he can be a great QB if it happens we have another player to sign in the offseason if he doesn't were looking at a QB in round 1

I think the bigger question is....what if Kirk Cousins plays just OK or average? He's due a new contract. Do they commit to someone with his limited track record and hope he develops more? I can just see Cousins being just good enough to keep the Skins out of position of drafting a top QB prospect (if there are any) and destined to hover in mediocrity.

i think the franchise is starting to get it right and hence the doom and gloom should fade . i think SM will know what he has in KC and will act accordingly . there are 5-6 qb prospects out there and we should be able to get one

If KC throws 25-30 TD's this year he will be our QB for the future. Even if we go 7-9 and just miss the playoffs why wouldn't you keep him?

I think even if Cousins plays extremely well we will still have to draft a QB somewhere in the Draft because McCoy is not a starter and Griffin more then likely won't be here next year

If KC plays really well why would we draft a QB? You would just get a vet to back him up like a McCoy.

What if he throws 20 INTs to go along with said 25 TDs? How much do you pay him for being mediocre?

He would get a modest contract. What if its a 4000 yards passing along with those stats? He is not going to make 16 mil per season. Plus it gives us continuity with Gruden and Cousins.

If Cousins plays really good, we should all send Mike Shanahan a thank you card for having the foresight to grab him as most of us here and around the NFL in general thought he was nuts for taking a second QB after giving up half a draft for RG3.

We will be drafting a QB next draft. Where we draft him depends on how KC performs. If it's just avg or worse, we will draft one fairly high. But this doesn't mean he replaces KC immediately. We can use KC as a stop gap for a couple of years until the young guy is ready. Hopefully we have learned as lesson that throwing rookie QBs into the fire rarely works. Let's remind ourselves of this track record.....schuler, Ramsey, Campbell, Griffin

If Cousins plays good he will be our QB. He will get a decent contract. If McCoy stays as a backup there would be no need to draft a QB. The only way we draft a QB is if KC totally bombs.

IF KC succeeds this year why would we draft a QB? I don't get it. There is no way we are going to let him walk in FA if he succeeds.

Most teams draft a young QB to groom for the future every X amount of years. Gruden inherited RG3 and Cousins. I can see him wanting to be able to hand pick his QB in he's thinking long term. Depends on how KC does. I think if he's average to below average, drafting a QB without a doubt happens.

I agree with that but if KC does well we don't draft one.

you and those pesky assertions you make with little or no basis

every team has a young guy to groom

is avg good enough to get to superbowls ?

will KC get a big head and take a pay day ?

the skins should invest in a young qb unless 3 is on the roster . do you think that will happen ?
