This helps the Skins. Bears in the hunt for the 2 seed now. They will play thier starters the rest of the way including week 17 @Minnesota.

BTW: guys and lady, a lot of folks are posting regrets on other sites, about that early Colts loss. However, when it became clear and it was in our team's power to get that necessary win, it was against the Giants. Reports are that they never felt that they had a chance with Sanchez starting. This was a coaching decision that caused the team to not give an effort against them. Signing and starting Sanchez, lost that game before it ever started.

Well for starters you can't undo things & go back in time so people need to get over the past already. Beyond that I would love to know if any players didn't give it their all because Sanchez was starting. That is just unacceptable.

You do your freaking job period & don't worry about things beyond your control. Sanchez had nothing to do with the defense playing like shit that day. They were manhandled by a Giants team w/o Beckham that scored a grand total of 0 pts yesterday. Any players that decided consciously or subconsciously to take the day off against the Giants might be looking for work in the near future.

Yesterday just showed that if the other players just do their best & not worry about others they can at least have a chance or at a minimum look respectable & know that they gave it their all - that can pay huge dividends down the road. I swear if Gruden or any coach truly believes that a player is half assing it (ala Fat Al) they should park that player's ass firmly on the bench.

Kudos to the defense yesterday - they simply need to show the same effort in the next few games regardless of the results.

Totally irrelevant since the two teams play each other in the last game. I have a hard time seeing them beating the Titans so it may not matter anyhow. At this pt I just want to see them show a decent effort.

Redskins make the playoffs at 8-8 if:

Redskins lose @Titans and beat Eagles

Vikings lose @Lions AND Bears

Eagles lose to Texans

Panthers lose one more: NO, ATL, or, @NO

Basically if the Eagles lose to the Texans and the Vikings lose in Detroit, we will be alive week 17 no matter what happens in Tennessee Saturday.

Needed that. Good job Saints. JP reported today that all signs are pointing to Colt being ready for the Eagles.

Honestly is that a good or a bad thing (beyond obviously being a better backup QB than Sanchez)? McCoy was decent in mop up duty vs the Texans, but didn't really look good at all vs the Boys and Eagles.

I think having Colt in there allows Jay to open up the playbook a little. Colt was 4 for 4 when he got hurt in Philly. There has been talk on the radio that if Josh beats the Titans, how do you pull him at that point?

That being said Colt pretty much brought us back vs the Texans save for a bad non PI call on Doctson that would have given Hopkins a chip shot to win the game. The league actually apologized for that call.

I agree he looked terrible vs. the Cowboys. To your point Josh took care if the ball and the defense played to its potential. That was the Alex Smith formula that got us to 6-3.

This team is not good enough to overcome two and three turnover games. I could see an argument made for both. Josh isn't exactly killing it either, but I see your point.

Fair enough. McCoy is what he is - a gunslinger. He is going to air it out & make big plays, but he is also going to make killer turnovers. With a little luck maybe you have a pt & he could make the offense somewhat effective. However I honestly don't believe that the Skins get past the Titans so it might be a moot pt - I really, really hope that I am wrong.

I don't see us beating the Titans either, but I am glad that I have another week of meaningful football to look forward to.

This has probably been Jay's best coaching job to date. He has defensive players calling him out almost every week and then those same players play like shit the following week.
He has his defensive captain saying F the organization and the fans and what does he do, he wraps his arms around Foster and backs his guy. In turn Foster has one of his best games in a long time along with the defense.

If these guys can't play for Jay, they can't play for anyone.

He has Josh Johnson throwing to Michael Floyd and its week 16 and they are in the hunt.

I do not let him pick the next DC, but I think he's earned another year. The winningest coach of the Dan Snyder era.

The thing that bugs me about the Titans is can we stop Henry ? I don’t think so , an
Mariota is the type of mobile qb that will break your heart on 3rd down

Stop Henry, DO NOT turn the ball over and we win again. That simple!

Easier said then done but let’s hope for the best
Henry has been a man on a mission 2 straight weeks now. Tall task I know but this Redskin team has shown heart through adversity and while the team is down 4-5 starters on offense, it seems this defense knows it has something to prove Saturday. Mariota may hurt you from time to time with his legs but so will JJ. Pick your poison I guess but I'm placing all my cards on the table to stop Henry!
