Round 1- A'Shaun Robinson,DT, Alabama

Round 2- Christain Hackenburg QB Penn State

Stud DT and our QBOTF. Watching Mel and McShay's mock draft last night this is who they had Denver selecting in the 1st round.

Also watched Gruden QB camp with Hack. He changed his footwork and stance after his freshman year and Gruden said he needs to get that straighten out. He has the physical tools and footwork can be changed rather easily. I'm intrigued by Hack.

This would be an interesting one. A'Shaun Robinson fits our system better than his playing partner Reed in my opinion. I have never gotten why people think Reed is a fit for our system. Robinson has more penetration ability to do the 1-gap system that Phillips loves to run. Honestly it seems like he was a better pass rusher in his early college days than this past year but that could be just what they asked him to do as he stayed more inside this past year than the years before. I would be interested actually to see him slim down about 10 lbs. and see what kind of speed he can get with just a bit slimmer frame. I think he would be a decent pick for us. Also it does seem teams or at least analyst are all over the board of where he will go. I have seen him go in the top-12 picks and I have seen him fall to the early 2nd round. That is a pretty wide range in my opinion. So the talent is there just a matter of can it be maximized.

Hackenburg I probably go back and forth on more than any other QB. The physical talent is unquestioned for sure. Is he too damaged by the bad coaching and terrible play around him though? How much of a project is he at this point?

This to me would be a draft I could get behind. I can see what the Broncos see in these 2 guys and why they think they could be huge for us moving forward. Both physically are some of the best talents of this draft at their respective positions.

I think this is a realistic possibility. I don't love robinson, i just don't see his ability to get into the backfield that warrants a round 1 selection, but maybe that was scheme based...

I agree that Robinson fits our system. I just don't think he is as good as his draft value... I have him more as a mid round 2 guy. But I can think of a lot worse.

Robinson is the new favorite pick for the Broncos on the mocks - not a pick I'd make.
