Gotta be Atlanta, right? They seem to be the only ones on that list that had actual expectations heading in to the season that I can recall.

The Giants had won 7 of their last 10 last year after going 0-6 so some thought they'd step it up this year with the new offense. Turns out the o line still sucked so no such luck

I don't know how Oakland doesn't win this hands down.

This team over the last decade is the worst run franchise in all of sport's history IMO.

At the end of this season they will once again fire their entire staff and GM and have their idiot owners pick from a list of people willing to actually accept a job that most qualified candidates would refuse. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Good point...NO should be on the list as well...they were the overwhelming pick to win the NFCS.

I remember being excited about Jackson and it didn't pan out. I didn't like the Osi pick up at all when it happened because I thought he was out of juice if NY was going to let him walk. Last year he had 7.5 sacks this year he's at 2.5...his first year in ATL was okay but this year there's hardly an production.

I agree from a building standpoint missing the playoffs is the best scenario but if we beat the Saints I think we make it in. The Panthers barely beat TB with their backup in and I think we win the last game against them.

More reasons why Dimitroff can't stay. He's blowing it in FA.

Sjax...his 1st year...ok you roll the dice and see what happens...he gets hurt, never gets to show what he can do, but nothing special before he got hurt...why bring him back? How many teams carry a 31 y/o RB with a $4mil cap hit when they got under 1k yds the previous yr?

Baker...he's never done enough to warrant a contract extension with the kind of zeros he got...now, to play RT.

Osi...another aging veteran, but adding him to Abraham made sense and working the young DL guys in, replacing Abraham with him made zero sense. Created a huge void.

Soliai & Jackson...he's got $20 mil in guaranteed money locked up in these two players. $50+ mil if they play out their deals...I said earlier they've played ok, and they have imo, but neither are difference makers.

OL...probably the highest paid, worst performing OL in the NFL.

DEF overall...has 2 keepers Trufant, & Moore that would start for pretty much any other team. Alford is not a bad CB either, but he's probably a slot SB on most teams.

The talent and money is not balanced out well at all...Dimitroff has to go imo

How are the Bears not in the conversation?

Because Jay Cutler is gonna be named MVP of the league this year.......Don't you remember Brandon guaranteed it at the beginning of the year, and you know players and media are never wrong.....:pound:

How is a team with two recent Super Bowl titles considered to be a dumpster fire?

And the Falcons have been hit with injuries, you better hope they don't get healthy and make the playoffs

If you ask that question a couple years ago the Raiders win in a landslide, it isn't all sunshine and lollipops right now, but there are several valid reasons why they aren't the biggest dumpster fire anymore, probably a bakers dozen young impact players, and another good year w plenty of cap space. Looks like the 'skins are running away w it now.

Titans - they should be rolled up and dropped in the middle of a pasture.

Not sure if it will be a true dumpster fire but I see wholesale changes with the Niners after this season.

Washington. Their problem is that the main arsonist is the owner, so fires flare up about every 15 minutes as the ADHD head-case that owns his own personal toy team decides to play with it.

I can buy into that. I really hope Raiders get Harbaugh, I think it's a perfect fit for both.

No one else on that list was expected to contend like the 49ers were and yet San Francisco's world just continues to crumble. They are getting my write in vote.
