What Are Your Expectations Of Alex Len?

He'll start as Gortat's backup and probably get about 15-20 mins a game. Number wise I could see him getting about 5-7 ppg, and 4-5 rpg with nearly a blocked shot a game or so. I hope he pans out, he's more of a long term project but his size, rebounding and shot blocking will come into play right away. If he can develop an offensive game then that would be great.

Ha. Same here. I was extremely pissed with the Len selection... honestly I'm more excited to see how Goodwin develops than I am Len. We'll see though, I hope he proves us wrong.

Greg Ostertag/Alton Lister. I'm thinking he is a 9ppg 6rpg guy who can be a solid bench big man, which is fine for a late-1st Round pick, but not for a 5th pick.

Hahaha I almost forgot about Ostertag, that guy was such a fat pile. If Len becomes an Ostertag-type player then we are really really screwed.

I thought Ostertag was a decent player. Considering he was a late-1st rounder you couldn't really have asked for much more. Many late-1st rounders wash out after 5 years in the league. I think Len will be around the league longer than that.

We're screwed because we burnt the 5th pick of the draft on him. A 5th pick should yield the kind of talent that can be a 10-year starter who can consistently hit double digits in scoring, assists, or rebounding. i.e. - Should have taken McLemore.

Len had minor surgery on his ankle a couple of days ago and I just saw on the news that he will be out for 4-6 months. Time to temper expectations even more.
