if you remember mudvayne from the nu-metal era, their bassist, ryan martinie, has formed a this bass-centered prog rock band "soften the glare", pretty jammin' album from a few yrs ago that they put out, called "making faces"; it's all instrumentals. martinie is a grade-A bassist, been grooving to this for the past couple of days
