i cant keep up with all the music these days ... i follow wale because he's from DC but that about it.

My basketball team, the wizards, have taken on this nickname #DeathRowDC and each player on the roster is a different member ... one person is snoop, one person is shug etc.

But these guys were in kindergarten when that music originally came out.

In a way i think its cool because they recognize the importance of the music and want to pay respect to it ?

however, i also feel like you have to understand what was taking place in the country at the time to be able to appreciate what the music was trying to communicate.
