Still, 2Pac is an overrated rapper, in my opinion.

pac was so much more then a rapper tho.

He was the voice of a generation. An icon.

i still remember where i was when I heard over the radio he had been shot.

he might not win any awards for musical composition & biggie may have been his lyrical superior ... but his films really put him over the top.

his performance in juice was brilliant. its was that believable.

How is @yoga≈surfing going to dislike this classic?

lol ... i put his ass on ignore

I agree he was an icon, just not an amazing rapper. Not a bad rapper by any means, certainly above average, but sometimes I dislike when some people call him the greatest of all time.

I've only seen pieces of Juice, maybe need to sit down and watch the whole thing sometime.

i was in 9th grade when he died i think ?

so to me nothing compares to the music from the 90s ... but i have also turned into the grumpy old man telling the kids in tight jeans to get off my lawn.

I agree. I was born in '97, and still like mid to late 90's and 2000's hip-hop more than this garbage trap rap that is being put out today by Future and Young Thug.

i cant keep up with all the music these days ... i follow wale because he's from DC but that about it.

My basketball team, the wizards, have taken on this nickname #DeathRowDC and each player on the roster is a different member ... one person is snoop, one person is shug etc.

But these guys were in kindergarten when that music originally came out.

In a way i think its cool because they recognize the importance of the music and want to pay respect to it ?

however, i also feel like you have to understand what was taking place in the country at the time to be able to appreciate what the music was trying to communicate.
