Bulleit is what I have at home right now as my bourbon. I think people prefer it because almost all of the other companies are owned by the Japanese now but Bulleit is still a bit of an acquired taste compared to some of the other bourbons.I do like Four Roses single barrel. On the suggestion of others, I tried the yellow label as a 'better' substitute to my regular Evan Williams black label, but I didn't see a need to switch. The single barrel is good, but I do like the Bulleit over it right now. May have to set up a taste test in the future, to include several offerings that I've been wanting to try and those I know I like to see which ones I really should buy for the money.
In other words, a scientific reason to get drunk on good bourbon.
I went on the Bourbon trail about 5 months ago in KY and tried out a lot of Bourbon. Very little of it is what I would call bad and none of it is worse than Evan Wiliams imo.
