Looks good, I haven't seen that one around here. Most Epics I see around here are stouts or sours, though they've been pretty great.

One of the better porters I've had. Great coffee/chocolate flavor for a light porter (5.2%). Sam Smith just make great beers, especially their darker beers.

Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale was the first beer that got me into drinking some serious beers when most American beers were pretty bad back in day....Their Taddy Porter, Pale Ale, Winter Welcome and the one above were always ones I searched for, they were pricey also and their price is only a little higher then it was back then....

Black butte is phenomenal. Started drinking that in the mid 90s. Their brewery is a great destination in Bend, OR.

If you get the chance, try a couple of their other brews. A winter called JubelAle and an IPA called Fresh Squeezed.

The Abyss is my favorite from there.

Fresh Squeezed is really good. I'll keep my eye out for JubelAle, it sounds like it would be up my alley.

I’m new to the New England Style IPAs, or the Hazy/Juicy whatever you call them.

Suggestions?

some breweries known for doing NE style IPAs:

Tree House
Hill Farmstead
Trillium (though I've never had their stuff)
Lawson's Finest Liquids
Toppling Goliath
SingleCut
Grimm (Afterimage is probably my favorite IPA I've ever had)
Equilibrium
Other Half
Twin Elephant
Sixpoint
Evil Twin
Tired Hands

I can't imagine most of those breweries make it out west though.

Evil Twin might. Toppling might distribute to some states out there.

I'm trying to think of big brewery NEs, and I'm drawing a blank. Bells isn't really that great... Drinkable

Yeah, Official was decent but a fairly standard beer. I'd rather just have Hopslam/Two Hearted or one of their darker beers.

Couple probably get some of the contract brewed stuff. Nightmare. I think Hoof Hearted can be found in Denver. Maybe out west in spots too

Speaking of dark head, someone made a "reverse Guinness" that has a white body and black head

Just another excellent variation of Yeti. And a yummy coffee stout from Maine last night:
