Gotta think Smith is going to be good to go.....why release Haskins and just have Heinicke at QB? That wouldn't make much sense and I doubt they sign a QB for just 1 game or worse, just roll with 1 QB opn game day.....gotta think Smith will be ready to go or at least be healthy enough to be the backup to Heinicke.

Calf issues are tricky. And even trickier with no calf muscle. Easily pop an Achilles if you don’t rehab it appropriately. Looked like AS was almost ready to go last week and then there was soreness on Sat.

Personally if he’s not close to 100%, I’d rather see Heiny.

37-year-old Davis originally planned to retire following the 2019 season, but he changed his mind. Injuries have helped limit Davis to only 137 snaps in 2020, his 16th season. A 2015 first-team All-Pro, Davis' career has been one of a few huge years, injury comebacks and occasionally questionable hits. Davis lacks a Hall-of-Fame résumé, but his longevity will probably at least make it a conversation.
