I had a Westy12 someone brought back for me a few years ago. Hard for anything to live up to that level of hype. For me, it did.

twas definitely delicious. All 3 of them are. The blonde is kind of the ugly stepchild, cause it gets no hype. Quite possibly the best blonde I've had. I'd probably rank them 12, blonde, 8. It is a hike to get out there, though.

If you're going with family or a sig other, I'd maybe go from Bruges, stay in Ypres, rent a car do Sint Sixtus, then tour the battlefields of Ypres (did not do, but look cool). Or go out there on a Saturday and visit De Struise (making sure you have a designated driver...cause you'll need one from there, haha).

I brought back a De Struise Sint Amatus (2013). Quad aged in Bourbon barrels
