I just hope this finally proves that the mystique surrounding the Spurs and Warriors during the regular season was WAAAAAY exaggerated.

@Montalban is coming for your Smartest Man title of this score holds.
It was fairly predictable. With OKC having the huge size advantage and having two of the best four players in the league, the only chance the Warriors had was if they shot well; they did not and the outcome was predictable

Idk. This is probably a good example of ppl overreacting to one game. GS got cute, lot of careless TOs and bad shot selection cost them. Credit to Thunder with good defense and Westbrook taking over the 2nd half but I think Warriors take this in 6.

I'm not discounting the Thunder.

But, remember when Iverson's 76ers took game 1 against the Lakers?

Yeah......

I'll just take the wait and see approach..

Great point by Barkley. Nobody would think OKC can win in GSW in a game where Durant shoots 10-30 and Russ shoots 7-21

1 game would not do that. It's not like people were saying the Warriors would go 16-0. And those who actually watched a lot of basketball instead of watching highlights on ESPN or NBATV already knew that OKC were good enough to challenge and/or beat both teams

if u wanted a star player in the offseason from the Cavs or Thunder because you though them losing might lead to a shakeup- whether Durant, RW, Love, Irving- LeBron - WHOEVER--- this has obviously been a HUGE disappointment of post season thus far.

If the Warriiors and Spurs had played the Hawks/Pistons, no perception would have changed.

Ok City has 2 of the 5 best players in the world, are healthy and peaked in May.

Competition matters.

hey i was one of them...i though the thudner watched up well with the spurs- but i had my doubts whether the Thunder could play Adams and Kanter extended minutes vs. the Warriors small lineups...

it looked like they were able to do it in game 1...lets see what happens going forward.

VERY VERY few gave OKC a chance vs. either of those teams.

OKC can use their big lineup especially when the Warriors are using Festus/Speights and Iggy at the same time

Going to be extremely difficult to win 2 in Oklahoma. The Thunder match up well with them. As the TNT guys said, they actually outplayed them in 2 of the 3 games in the regular season. Just collapsed in the 4th quarter.

Why doesn't the 4th quarter count? Call me silly, but as far as importance goes I'd put it over 1-3.

Why?
IF Warriors end up winning it all, then all the others have once again failed.
Durant isn't going anywhere THIS summer, regardless IMO.

If the Cavs steamroll the East again , but then fail, you think all will be cool? :L
