Was Donovan trying to preempt people from criticizing the Thunder for blowing a 3-1 lead by saying that they stole Game 1 and shouldn't have been up 3-1 in the first place?

They took a 73 win team to 7 games and beat another 65+ win team to get there. That's awesome. That team lost 27 games this year. That's kind of pathetic. And he ran the starters into the ground. Everyone will talk about choking in the 2nd half but they looked like a team with really tired legs in the 2nd half. Just rotate some guys in. They were up by double digits. Rest some legs. The Warriors killed them in the 2nd half. He got tunnel vision.
I heard somewhere that they were tired in game 6. That was a freaking huge clue if true.

He's not going anywhere.

Probably not but that was a horrible coaching job. You don't coach to be ahead at halftime. You coach to win and he didn't. That OKC team was completely gassed by the 4th quarter.

Can't believe the Dubs came back and got this one, but, yeah, its certainly not Donovan's fault.

If his stars played better to close out game 6, there wouldn't have been a game 7. Blaming Donovan is stupid. The only thing I would blame him for is not using more bench players. He did a hell of a job with this team. 55-27 is a damn good year. OKC and the Spurs just made it look like nothing because they decided to have 2 of the best regular season records in NBA history.

 He's a rookie HC, his team beat the 2nd best team in the league in 6, pushed the best team in the league to 7, both without HCA and that guy thinks he's getting fired.

I think he sounded smarter when he wasn't posting here ever again.

There's a better chance of my Suns winning the NBA Finals next year than Donovan getting fired

Take a number. :dhd:

Probably. I started out the year rooting for them but damn their tough to like after awhile. All the dancing around, Green is a thug, Iggy running around with that stupid look on his face like someone shot his dog after every drive to the basket, etc. I still like Klay and he saved their asses so far.

I'll take all of that over Lebron's Herman Munster walk, screaming and ridiculous flopping any ol' time.

He went with a 7 man rotation in a game 7 of a hard fought series. If you're going to trust your starters then have fucking faith that they can eat away a lead late with guys that have fresh legs. Kerr held his ground when things looked bad in the 1st half because he knows that it matters more in crunch time. OKC made a lot of mistakes but his stand out the most. He coached for a 36 minute game.
