Now you're just going in circles.

I had good reason to believe you were full of shit regarding the numbers you were using because you like making stuff up. You constantly ignore the evidence and continue your diatribes that you want to be true.

I didn't care then if you proved it, and I still don't care because the entire premise of your argument was faulty then as it still is now.

Nonetheless, how I know you're still full of shit is I posted the links from PFF in the other thread with a snippet bolded for you and you obviously still ignored it.

I gave you the common sense version and then proved that PFF too uses common senses. If you're still not satisfied, I can't help you.

I don't think so. Your guys looked pretty good against us. You've got some hungry, hard playing guys on your team. I think Cinci is going to do better than 5-11.

Should be a lot more like 11-5. From what I saw out of your team everything is looking up and the sky is the limit.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......it's a secret........

Shhhhh, okay. I won't tell the Steelers, Ravens or Browns. It will be our dirty little secret.

But seriously I think you have a good team that is still getting better and better.

I'd love to trade quarterbacks with you. Or with 15 or so other teams.

We had to be patient and wait on Ryan to get better. You also will just have to be patient and wait on Dalton or whoever it is that you have. Young QBs have to get their teeth kicked in for several years before they really understand how to beat a pro defense.

All I can say is, just be patient.

Thank you. I just don't understand why so many Bengals fans are down on their team right now. I expect you guys to have a good season. Playoff season.

every time I get optimistic about the Bengals I just picture Carson Palmer on the ground and Kimo standing over him. that's as close as we ever got to having a championship team imo

I don't have time to be patient. A Bengals' championship is on my bucket list, and I'm not so far from kicking it, so Dalton has to get better now.

I think our roster is pretty stacked but we'll go as far as Dalton can take us (assuming Marv stays out of the way). Not really a fan of the Ryan Dalton comparison as I see Dalton's major issue comes down to talent. With Ryan, the arm talent was always there. That's why he was drafted so high. He can make all the throws with consistency. Dalton IMO just doesn't have the God given talent that most NFL QB's have. We'll see if he can overcome that by at least having some more pocket poise and making good decisions. the Bengals have done an excellent job of giving the guy some weapons on offense. We should know 2 things by the end of the year: 1). If Dalton is legit and 2). The kind of chops that Gruden has as an OC. Either way I'm pretty stoked about the season, but my biggest concern is that our QB and HC will hold the team back from being great.

I think Dalton will be just fine, and regarding Marv, if not for him, this roster is not as stacked as it is. So it can be said, without Marv, we would not be as good as we already are.

Marv gets the credit but really who the hell knows who is responsible for the roster improvements. It could be Marv, it could be Duke Tobin or it could even be Mike Brown. I think Dalton has been fine. The question is can he make that leap from the serviceable and sometimes good QB tier to the consistently good tier. If he can do that it's going to be really fun season. With having guys like AJ he doesn't need to be Tom Brady. He just needs to read the defenses and give his guys chances to make plays.

I aee about Dalton in every aspect.

Regarding Marv, versus Tobin or whoever, Marvin is the one who pushed for more scouts, and who the scouts were along with Tobin. Marvin has assembled this coaching staff and scouting crew (at least the newer scouts and personnel from 5 to 6 years ago).

I think Marvin is absolutely fine other than being an asshole during press interviews and his game management at times.

Can't argue with Marv pushing the franchise forward. Off the field I think the Bengals have been awesome. Really, they've had as strong of a past 3 years as anyone in the league. I think Mike Brown deserves credit as he is the decision maker so the buck stops with him. Even if all he is doing now is being smart enough to stay out of the way that is a good decision by him. My issue with Marv is his on the field coaching. He just seems to be constantly outmatched. He can never make any adjustments. I think he's gotten better and we could do worse. But I do have some serious concerns about Marvs game management. We'll see. I feel like this is a put up or shut up year for the team and that starts with Marv and Dalton.

I agree. I think this team can be pretty dang good, if not, something is whacked out, and some changes need to be made. However, the year has to play out to determine exactly where that should happen too. I just hope guys stay healthy all year, because it is hard to evaluate the talent of the roster if everyone is hurt.

I think Marvin has done a great job with the off-field aspects of coaching. His ability to find Coordinators like Zimmer and Gruden, and then you factor in the past few drafts, and you can see the Bengals heading into the right direction.

I just wish someone else were hired to call time-outs and throw the challenge flag (or not). He doesn't seem to have a clue on actual game management at times. He'd make a hell of a GM.
