The game was there for the taking, but Saints couldn't take advantage. Can't be making that many mistakes against a team like that.

Yep no doubt. Defense was absolutely outstanding from start to finish but we had several mistakes on the offensive/special teams end in the first half. We left at least 6 points on the board while handing Seattle 7 points on the fumble. Things go our way and it is 6-6 at half instead of 16-0

BTW it would be nice for Jimmy to start showing up in big games

Tough one for you guys. Good luck next year. I agree with you, your defense stepped up and played great today. Eliminate a couple mistakes and this could have been completely different. Cheers fellas. :suds:

Saints had me worried as F second half. Seattle's O just laid an egg outside of Lynch. I think the game was closer though than it should of been. Seattle dropped like 4 picks. And the 52 yard pass that Thomas dropped the INT on was just blind luck from Saints. If it's not raining Brees probably throws 4 INTs that game. I'd say the rain helped him.

Either way Saints D is legit. Rob Ryan definitely has a job next year.

49ers and Panthers live by the run game. Hawk fans, have fun before the run teams come

The Saints have a pretty good running tandem. The difference is the QB's ability to run. That, we will have to gameplan for and keep contain, unlike what GB's guys did last week.

Haha nope, but I had a San Jose Sharks duffel bag growing up. I always liked their logo and kind of secretly rooted for them despite being an Avs fan since my cousin/aunt/uncle lived in Colorado (Seattle obviously no team).

Funny thing...we've played both these teams and done OK.

Your success against both teams came in the first 2 weeks of the year. Both teams especially the Panthers are much much much better now than they were then. They won 11 of 12 since they started 1-3 and Seattle struggled to beat them in that game as I believed Carolina had a 7-6 lead going to the 4th and as for SF, I think if they play Seattle the game will be more like the game they played in SF a few weeks ago compared to the blowout that happened in week 2

Home field at Century Link with our fans is a huge advantage. I'm not expecting a blowout like we did to SF early in year here, but still believe we'll beat whoever comes here next week.

We're 16-1 here over two years. Only loss was by 7 points. That pretty much speaks for itself.

I think the Panthers would be very tough, 49ers also for that matter. The last two games in the NFC is going be very physical. Old school football, just the way I like it!

Be sure to mention to which ever team plays in Seattle next week that they should have fun before they run into our run game at our house.
