What? You didn't watch the first 3-4 games this year? Jay was being touted as the best 4th quarter come from behind QB in the league by all the big boys at ESPN and Fox Sports. Jay had the highest 4th qtr QBR in the league.

Short memory much?

Edit: Big games? What big games, you going back some years when our Bears had an atrocious O line, with no Wr help for Jay??? please. Joe Montana couldn't win in his prime with the tools Jay had.

Pfft... as McCown is proving, the QB success this year has more to do with the MUCH improved OL, and the plethora of weapons at WR, TE and RB.

Cutler is no difference-maker... that's a fact.

AGAIN you're just looking at stats instead of watching how he threw the ball. He should have had 2 interceptions, and one of his TD passes was maybe the best catch by a receiver all year. Without freakishly good luck, he would have had 1 TD and 2 INTs yesterday. Which would have given him a rating of 70 or lower. He did not play well yesterday despite what the stats say.

"Should have"... ?

Really?

Is that all you got... what-if's and maybe's? Are you prepared to use that same logic against Cutler??

Sorry, but you don't post 9-TD's / 1-Int / 104-QB Rating in 6 games because of luck.

The fact remains in Trestman's system (coupled with the Offensive weapons the Bears have, in addition to the much improved OL) Cutler and McCown are on the same level.

Well Cutler did turn in a spectacular performance during the playoff win vs the Seahawks, and played great in several big late season games that year to get the team to the playoffs. Last season, he had the bad luck of not making the playoffs at 10-6 because of a tiebreaker. The year before he had them rolling towards the playoffs with a 7-3 record, but then the freak finger injury during a tackle after an interception that wasn't even his fault (receiver fell down). Cutler has been a very hard luck QB the last few years. He's certainly due for a few years of better luck. He was playing great before this injury.

Precisely why he's not worth anywhere near $20 mil a year... like it or not an oft-injured QB is the same as a QB laying eggs; at the end of the day he's NOT there to help the team win.

That's Cutler's legacy in Chicago... good riddance I say.

@ Richig: See ya next week.

Yeah. lol

I didn't actually mean I was bolting for good. At the time I felt like it, but man. Just... jesus, that shit hurt. I get it, they're not that good. Although, I really still thought they could pull out a win versus Minnesota and manage to get the division. I don't believe in Detroit one bit (but you already know that, hehe). The way they lost that game was just gut wrenching.

This is seriously the least opportunistic football team I have ever witnessed.

Now I have my hopes up for tomorrow night. Ugh... setting myself up for heartbreak again.
