Barkley should. He's actually coming back from something. Geno isn't coming back from anything, he just never arrived as a pro player. I look at Comeback Player of the Year as a good player who suffered some injury or down year or period that comes back to their level of good to great play. Not just some most improved from what was never good.

They also define it as perseverance in overcoming adversity. If being a backup for 10 years then coming out and playing like a top 5 QB isn’t persevering and overcoming adversity then I don’t know what is.
