Not winning this one would really sting…so let’s just win.
You blew your good luck by taking the week off.

You fucked this whole thing. Now, we've lost two in a row because of you. This isn't on Flus. It's on you.

I don't even want to fucking ever talk about this game again. That run before the end of the half nearly gave me an aneurysm. You would have thought I just watched my dog die. I was at a local sports bar and I just went outside. Sat on the patio all alone. The manager (who I know) and the poor guy who had to endure sitting next to me. They came out to check on me because I was just sitting there and I hadn't said a word since the run. lmao

I can't speak for other fans because I'm not around Bears fans anymore. However, to me? This was way worse than last week. I honestly lost my will to go on at a certain point.

That run... I mean... wow... my entire fandom flashed before my eyes. I started questioning everything and why I even do this to myself. That was bad.

Eberflus should be fired.

Give one good reason to see it out the rest the season?

The coaching is horrid. The o-line is decimated. Come out and run the fucking ball.

I hate this team, and I hate this staff sooooooo fucking much.
Simple reason, is he chose his staff so nobody in the building can be an interim head coach.

On a side note, Luke Getsky was fired along with 2 of his other offensive coaches yesterday.

I dont know what the option is to move on from Waldron even on play calling.

As a fan, I would let it go more easily if it wasn't SO F*CKING OBVIOUS that we should move on from Eberflus this past offseason. Ryan Poles' largest mistake as a GM by far.
Choosing Waldron over KK as offensive coordinator was his biggest mistake, or was KK not interviewed since they did not give him the head coaching job? Its such a clusterfuck, it would probably come down to something petty.
At least in that regard, there would basically be an offensive head coach where Everfluke could just focus on the defense.

I gotta ask.......and not trying to play smartass here, but:

Seems to me you guys think that players are quitting on this team to get the coach fired.......??

As I said in an earlier post,I didnt see this game the way I would have liked cause of friends over which equals to too much talking.

So if its true players are quitting on this team:
1. Is that called tanking?,cause we all agree we do not do that......
And I say that because we are/were in a wildcard race....why quit on Matt??
2. Why in the world would our offense even do that to a rookie qb thats a supposedly one of a kind franchise qb that we needed ever since I been watching since the early 70s......To me that makes no sense.....
From what I seen yesterday is Caleb is still running around back there from lack of oline,he is getting hammered back there and you can see the frustration on his face everytime they pan sideline after a series of downs.......That is no way to develope a qb.
3. Playoff race,we were still in it last I knew.....

I have a hard time believing this, cause quitting on Eberlose is also quitting on Caleb......it should not happen.

So where am I looking at this wrong.....??

Our coaching staff is improperly structured on top of the fact that the coaches themselves are suspect.

Matt Eberflus is a DC handling both DC and HC duties. He shouldn't be. He needs to relinquish the reins of the playcalling. He's missing very obvious things on the field that a HC-and really his supporting coaches-should NOT miss.

Problem with doing that is the only redeeming quality of Eberflus, at least on the surface, is his defensive coordinating. Without that, he's completely useless.

I'm not even sure he'd get the head coaching decisions right if that is all he was doing either.

It's just a clusterf*ck all around.

We might have all been right with our fears going into this season. Lame duck HC is going to fail, which then we get a new HC under a potential Lame duck GM the following season and we just keep riding the carousel.

I know Ryan Poles has done some good things, but I wouldn't mind just a complete overhaul this offseason to FINALLY start the clock on both HC and GM at the same time. Just one time do it the goddamn right way.

Ryan Poles is on record saying "You guys are wrong about Matt." Well, we aren't. We were all DEAD RIGHT about Eberflus.

I know he fleeced probably one of the worst GM's in NFL history for DJ Moore, the 1 pick and a gaggle of other picks. Amazing trade that turned everyone's perception of the team around. If not for that though, this team would be a COMPLETE DISASTER.

Yes, you have to give good credit with the bad, but could you imagine if we didn't pull of the Bryce Young trade? We'd probably be the worst team in football. That's not an exaggeration imo.

I don’t know if “quitting” on him is correct, but they sure as heck don’t seem very motivated.

Side note, and something that goes directly to coaching: Caleb’s one sidearm throw that sailed 10 feet over his WR’s head should be shown in football practices around the country (and to Caleb, himself, of course) as exhibit A on why you don’t throw sidearmed.

Then Flus gets Caleb injured by having him out there at the end. Completely useless, pointless, dangerous and stupid.

I am completely over this coaching staff. The sight of his stupid head and the sound of his goddamned voice makes me want to kick a puppy.

I was not referring to Eburfluss,we all know he needs to go,and go today.....

IF the players have had a gut full of Eberlose and trying to get him fired, they are tanking plays.....??

Is this how Im looking into that.....??

Cause if thats true, how does that help anyone on the team....

Ya,thats been bad.....I just seen a stat that CW leads the league in off target throws with 58......

Thats horrific.

Ive said from game one, when CW has had time to throw,he has not been accurate.....
I even posted a clip from X last week on a pass that sailed way over the wrs head that went out of bounds who was like10 yards away.....

I see it has not changed.....

Yeah, he's clearly over it all (And honestly don't know if his frustration is with Caleb there or just another shitty playcall) and I don't blame him, but you don't do THAT.

I have not seen anyone insinuate that players are consciously "quitting" with some sort of intent to get Flus fired. No one said that.

Actually, I can guarantee no one even thought this. You have a strange interpretation of posters/fans saying that the players are "quitting on Eberflus". That doesn't mean that players are literally playing bad on purpose or trying to do bad. It just means that they're not buying in anymore and that the train is off of the rails.

Ever played on a team where everyone thought the coach sucked? I have. Ever worked at a job where everyone thought management were incompetent shit heads? I have. If you have lived out either scenario, let me ask... how was "morale" during those times within your team/work team? How well were people working together? How "motivated" did everyone around (including yourself) seem to be when there was a massive amount of resentment/doubt towards your management/leadership?

In my experience, in these situations, the teams I played sports on saw their situation go from bad to worse. Every single time, without fail when that first feeling of true doubt or resentment against the staff occurred. Some would maintain a solid level of performance individually, some would fall off and lose motivation entirely, and others would sort of just coast along on the sinking ship as a bystander. In the workplace when I've had this happen? Same thing. Suddenly, all of the chatter around the workplace is negative, toxic energy swirling, blame being placed, and resentments building. Motivation/performance takes a nose dive, as most are far more concerned with themselves, and concerned with who they should be pissed at. Generally, this kicks off a ticking clock on the amount of time that most people will be around at this job. Both for management and employees.

This does not mean, that when I played on aforementioned teams that we would show up on a given day to "tank" or "not try to win". We always "wanted" things to go well, but within those circumstances it's REALLY hard. I have a particular team in my mind when I talk about this. My second season in college baseball, our manager (who also recruited us all) had totally lost us, and we were failing to meet big expectations. Once we started spiraling like that. In order for us to win a game? EVERYTHING had to go right. It was quite possible for us to win, in spite of everything. We had talent. That being said, any adversity throughout the course of the game? We're going to completely FOLD. It's going to kick off an entire series of finger pointing, blaming the coaches, blaming the umps, etc. Then, you're just fucked.

For years, when media says this about a coach in any sport - you've taken this to mean that players are literally tanking? Hmm. Interesting.

Poles is on notice. This is his last offseason as GM if this team doesn’t make the playoffs next year. He better build that oline and choose the proper coaches.

Warren wont fire Poles. He's too busy pining for a lakefront stadium with tax dollars.

We're doomed.

Meh. We knew the oline was a weakness heading into this season. We knew we had a hole at DE. If we address those holes in the off-season and sign someone like Ben Johnson to lead the coaching staff, we will be much better next year. Up until now, I think Poles has done a good job turning over the roster. One more off-season is more than enough for this team to make the leap.

I would agree. But i think every team has weaknesses. No GM can fix everything. They can try. I believe Poles has tried.

What we need is a coach that can adjust for those weaknesses. Other teams seem to do it. The Cardinals D is a sieve. But they adjusted yesterday.

I Was the leader of my group of guys, everyone was motivated, and I worked side by side with the crew just to show them that just because Im upper mamagement,Im not above working.....

So comparing that to football doesnt work.

I also had my own softbaall team I ran, everything was fine there too....no problems.

But lets not compare a beer league softball team compare to the NFL.....

And as far as the players tanking/quitying on Eberlose,I was more in asking a question if thats what you guys were talking about, not me insinuating they were....

But boy, this team is unraveling fast.......
