They struggled offensively, but they aren't a good offensive team. In terms of overall efficiency they've been top 25 good.
And as I mentioned, they've faced one team that's over .500.

It's been a pretty good year for the Big10, if Iowa Iowa could of built off of last year.

Iowa was like Nebraska is this year, just not quite as good. Benefited from a ridiculously easy schedule and still barely scraped by.

They're the same exact team.

Yeah, I get that, and that's taken into account when determining efficiency.
That's where you and I differ, I guess. You are much more into the advanced metrics while I trust the eye test more. Florida just looks like a weak team, who has struggled with extremely weak teams. It's just laughable that this is the 18th ranked team in the nation.

The only way Iowa could of built off last year is if you made an even easier schedule than last year.

I wonder if OD is still trying to find a typo somewhere.

Well you probably also think Vanderbilt is extremely weak, when in actuality, in terms of efficiency, they are practically identical to Indiana, plus it was a road game, not that Vanderbilt is a hostile environment, but still. And Florida used their back up QB that game. They were dominant against UK and North Texas, and played a bad half against Umass.

I'm not saying Florida is some great team, but you need to rank 25 teams if you're going to have a top 25. My guess is they would have beaten LSU, finished up the rest of their schedule at 8-4/9-3(pre bowls) and be ranked somewhere between 15-30.

Schedule is not the problem for Iowa. At this point last season, they were undedeated with wins over Pitt and Wisconsin. So far, they haven't faced an opponent as tough as they were.

I think the coaching thought that since so many key players returned, they don't need to be as unpredictable. These guys should be able to win with 2014 game plan. And of course it is working out great. L to NDSU and struggling NW. Barely beat Rutgers and Minny.

From what I saw out of LSU against Missouri, I'm not so sure Florida would've won. Using a backup QB against the likes of Vanderbilt isn't much of an excuse. It's not like this is also a new thing for Florida. They've been an absolutely dreadful offensive team for quite some time now, and their defense was exposed by a decent michigan offense in their bowl game.

Vandy is a bad 2-4 team that got absolutely destroyed by a mediocre at best GT team. Indiana has a close loss to a 5-1 team and 21 point loss to a top 2-3 team in the nation. Not sure the metric that says Vandy is as good as Indiana, or has performed as well, but you can keep it.

Most would tend to think Houston is better than Navy - but, it still never sits well when you get ranked behind a team you just beat (with the same number of losses)

Yes, I said their offense isn't good. Out of the entire FBS, it's a slightly above average offense, but it doesn't need to be prolific when you have a top 20 defense.

And yes, Vandy isn't a good 2-4 team, just like Indiana isn't a good 3-2 team. It's not like Indiana has performed well this season, they were trailing both FIU and MSU going into the 4th quarter.

Ole Miss and FSU have the same record and OM is 2 spots ahead of them. I can never stand that. When the teams are that close in the rankings, head to head should matter.... JMO OM might have the better of the 2 L's on the schedule or maybe it was the way FSU lost?

The top 6 looks about right to me. You could move Ohio St. to number 1 and I would not argue, or leave Bama at the top spot and I would not argue.

Tennessee staying put at #9 after a tough overtime loss makes sense to me.

I might move Mississippi and Oklahoma down in the top 25 a bit more...
I would agree, tOSU looks like the most complete team in the country to me...

I really don't have a problem with it...for now. That beatdown by UL will not be soon forgotten.

Ole Miss really deserves to be ranked 7 spots higher than OU. You're just a hater.
