Those opinions were fair and warranted. He froze early and often, playing prevent and 3 deep safety schemes when it was close or we had the lead. This year he's blitzing more, disguising coverages, and playing more press/man than in the past. Probably due to the emerging of Moss, who despite some young db bone headed plays is still holding his own opposite the best db in the NFL.
I was one of the first wanting him gone . I love wade probably as much as use to love Alex Gibbs .... is me holding on with the past a little to much.

A lot of people spiraling because they predicted the Broncos to have a bottom-5 roster and unfortunately especially in sports media and teams struggle to admit when they might be wrong on something. You would think they would learn by now that there is always a team that was a bottom feeder the year before that figures some things out and rises to the top. Houston last year is a great example of that. They got a good coach/coaching staff and figured out the QB spot...boom 4th place to 1st place in the division. And they look like a possible Super Bowl contender this year. Broncos add Payton and now Nix and have a few other young pieces that have turned out to be better than first thought and now boom they are looking like a tough out.
