Thanks man. So was Gurley running up the middle and running over people? Or was he mostly running to the outside? I can't believe I missed his coming out party. He's a mofoing beast!

He was finding holes on both sides of the line.:clap:It didn't look like much was there, but he was patient and hit the hole when it opened up. The Honey Badger was giving Gurley shit after each long run he made. He got in his face a couple of times.

You missed a great game, Cardinals didn't score a td until the 4th qtr. Our defense held them in check all day. McCloud made a huge hit on Fitzgerald and popped the ball out for a RAM recovery. There were a lot of good plays, but that was the one that I liked the best!

I just wish we didn't lose Ogletree!

Just when we get a spark we get another crappy injury.

This really sucked because he was bar none our best tackler on the field. Losing him will hurt! Typical RAM luck!

Ogletree was having pro bowl year. Feel awful for him. Bates played solid in replacement. Don't know how we replace one of the leading tacklers in the NFL tho.

– After getting eased into his first regular season action last week, RB Todd Gurley (-1.6) saw a big increase in touches against the Cardinals with 19 carries. He gained north of 140 yards while breaking a couple of tackles and consistently making good cuts on the Rams’ zone runs, although he did have an almost-costly fumble inside his own 15-yardline, which dropped his overall grade substantially. The Rams offensive line also deserves credit for his performance, after a much-improved blocking effort this week. Gurley gained more yards after contact (10) than net yards (9) against Pittsburgh, but on Sunday, more than half of his rushing yards came before contact.

– Overall, a very clean, solid outing for Nick Foles (+2.6), who handled pressure decently and protected the ball while delivering a few big-time throws when he ventured more than 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. One of those was at 5:53 of the third quarter, when he connected with Stedman Bailey (+1.3) on a corner route in the end zone to extend the Rams’ lead to eight. Almost no negatives to note, outside of a couple of misses and his occasional tendency to drift in the pocket and screw up his blockers’ leverage.

– This was the third straight game that DT Nick Fairley (+1.4) played less than 20 snaps, but he continues to grade positively in limited playing time, with this game putting him at +6.0 overall on the season. On his second snap, Fairley faced little resistance from center Lyle Sendlein (-2.5) on his way to pressuring Carson Palmer (+2.2). And at 4:59 of the third quarter, he made a similar play, beating guard Jonathan Cooper (-1.5) outside to draw a holding penalty.

Top Performers

P Johnny Hekker (+4.8)
WR Tavon Austin (+3.1)
QB Nick Foles (+2.6)
DT Aaron Donald (+2.3)
DE Robert Quinn (+1.4)
DT Nick Fairley (+1.4)

Fairly could be starting somewhere. My guess is he'll probably want out after this year due to lack of playing time.

Here you go SJ, this is a pretty good clip of the Cardinals game. Be sure to check out the "5.19" mark. This is where Fitzgerald get clocked by McCloud. Also check out Ogletree making tackles throughout the clip.

If you don't get pumped after watching this compilation to the point of wanting to go out in a garage and start throwing forearm shivers into the wall and you are Rams fan, I'd state unequivocally you are braindead!

I can honestly say that its been quite some time since we've played to this level. I just hope they can keep it going.

If you have an advanced metrics system where Gurley comes out as a -1.6 then your system sucks

Agreed, how the hell does that work??? The guy has 146 yards on 16 carries, 144 of it in the second half and over 100 in the 4th quarter and he's a "negative"? That's some serious Bullshit!!!

Some weird logic that the vast majority of his yards were before contact so they credit the blockers....which is a bit silly considering that just because yards are there doesn't mean the guy will see the hole or be fast enough to beat defenders.

You know what? from what you just said(and yes you said its silly)that's why I don't do that kind of crap...Before contact? so like you pretty much said, if you can out run everyone you get no credit? WOW, makes no damn sense.

Someone's idea of a cool statistic that makes little sense in reality.
