After a nearly complete game against the Cardinals, the Rams go to Raymond James Stadium to face Tommy and the Bucs at noon PST on Sunday. Historically, we have the Bucs' number dating back to the GSOT. WE owe Tommy another payment on the losses to him twice in two Snooperbowls. Our D is going to have to play another great game and make Tommy's day miserable to beat these guys. Take a page out of Michael Strahan and the Geeants destruction of Tommy will help. As Eric Weddle and McVego have put it, lots of things have changed since Week 3. Our defensive game plan in the snooperbowl was a good one as we held Brady to a rough day except for a couple of big plays. So, I think if our D gets after Brady like we have in the past and our O eliminates mistakes and sticks to the run, I like our chances of coming out of Tampa with the W.

From your keyboard to GOD's ears RR.

The Bucs have some woes on the OL, and now with Von in the mix, the pressure on Terrific Tom could be the difference in the game.

It is a nice time of the year to repeat the five-game winning streak we had before the Niners loss! We have one under our belts. We can take 'em one-at-a-time and just keep marching to that ultimate win!!

Rams AT GOAT

The Rams should have it easy here. Tampa is missing a lot of key players on both sides of the ball. Now Jenson and Wirfs are hurt and that will make it easy for the Rams pass defense to make life hard for GOAT.

BUT

We still have to worry about McEgo and Stafford. Hopefully McVay will keep his ego in check and run the ball... Even tho Tampa D can stop the run, still must stick with the run and keep trying even if it doesn't work out at first. Stafford needs to be smart with the football and make good decisions like he did against the Cardinals. The Rams can do this.

I totally agree URT04! Many of our runs yesterday were only 2-4 yards but if you keep at it, there comes several big runs like the first play on offense where we went 41 yards. It also keeps the defense honest, we don't become predictable because we are one-dimensional, and it sets up the pass out of a pass play as well as a run formation.

This article has chronicled what we have done to Brady since he's been a Buccaneer. We can do this again and our offense has to play great too. At the very bottom is a chronicle of which coaches have had requests to be interviewed for the eight HC vacancies by other teams. We may lose Morris before O'Connell and other coaches.

Should is the key word. There’s been too many times this team loses to teams we have no business losing to and also snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I agree UVA. If McVego sticks to the game plans of recent games except for the Niners we should have no problem coming out of Tampa with the win. That plan being, you start the offense off with the run game and you stay with the run to get your passing game going. You get a stiffy for the pass, you will go home for good this season.

I guess now everyone is recognizing that OSFBs is a bona fide mentor of present and future NFL coaches like the trees of Don Coryell, Tom Landry, Bill Walsh, Don Shula, Mike Holmgren, and John Gruden. Wonders never cease!

Time to tell Noteboom he is starting this week against the Bucs. Whitworth is going to have to probably sit this one out. He has continual swelling in his knee and ankle which has reduced his mobility. We are deep enough to sit him even though I am sure he wants to be in there.

Father time is undefeated...

That’s disappointing both for the team and for Whit.

If ya get a chance, check-out the vid of Week 3 against Brady and the Bucs over on YouTube. We will have to do a better job of tackling for sure.

Win SB:
6.2%
Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams
Win NFC: 18.9% · Record: 13-5
  • Odds to win Super Bowl: +750
  • Odds to win conference: +350

How the Rams' second-level defenders (safeties and linebackers, excluding Jalen Ramsey) handle their coverage responsibilities flags as a potential source of concern, especially in the context of their defensive in-game adjustments ranking in the bottom third of the league, per Computer Vision. On short passes to the middle, the Rams have allowed the highest completion percentage (80.2) in the NFL and rank 28th in average gain allowed (7.9 yards). On short passes to the left, right and middle, the Rams have allowed at least a 68.2 completion percentage.

Not the numbers you want ahead of a matchup with quick-passing maestro Tom Brady. Brady's average time to throw (2.48 seconds) is his fastest in the NGS era and trails only Ben Roethlisberger among all quarterbacks this season. Last week against Philadelphia, Brady had a 2.17-second time to throw, his fastest ever recorded by NGS. TB12's ability to get the ball out quickly helps to negate opposing pass rushes (ranks first in pressure rate), even one as fierce as the Rams'. In their Week 3 matchup, the Rams only got to Brady on 17.2 percent of dropbacks, their third-lowest rate of the season. Now, that was before Von Miller's arrival to L.A. and the Bucs' O-line got hit with injuries, but let's not discount Brady's prowess on quickly dissecting defenses. The seven-time champ leads the NFL with 24 TDs on quick passes, and no team has allowed more passing yards on quick passes than the Rams.
