Week 16 @ Chicago is for the Playoffs, IMO

Yep- that's the game that, in my opinion, will define our playoff chances.

I think we handle our business at home and beat Tampa Bay and Minnesota. Not saying we can't or won't lose those games, but we're better than those two teams, and we get to play them at Ford Field.

So, assuming we win those two, that week 16 match-up at Soldier Field will be huge, given the tall task the following week of playing the Packers in GB. If we win the next two we're at 10 wins, which might be enough to get in the playoffs. Win in Chicago and we're at at least 11 wins, pending the week 17 outcome, and 11 wins should almost certainly get us one of the two wildcard spots.

I'm betting Chicago is going to be pissed about getting embarrassed on Turkey Day, and they'll be a tougher out at home than they we're in our building, so I really think that's going to be the crucial game for us in this last quarter of the season.

Every game this year is going to be for the playoffs. Right now its TB. 2-10 is a shitty record but they aren't that bad of a team, and could steal this game from us. I looked it up, and TB has had 7 of their 9 losses come by 1 score. They've played some good teams really close and just came up short. Any given week could be that week they get the break they need to win. Yesterday they were a penalty away from likely beating Cincy. They did beat Pittsburgh. I am not saying that the Lions will lose, or shouldn't be favored or anything but TB is not going to be an easy win. McCoy vs our O line could be a problem. Jackson/Evans are both really good WR's. Not to mention another conference win would be huge for us in tie breaking scenarios.

I am hoping a week 17 matchup is for the division crown. I do not see GB slipping up prior to that game, which forces the Lions to sing some BTO and do the same.

That scenario all but clinches a birth already going in. Cowboys may do us a favor and be like the 2013 Lions and keep collapsing

If we win the next 2 we are in. Even the game in Chicago will not have any bearing except whether we get a shot at the division the following week. If we lose 2 of the next 3 then we are in big trouble.

ABUSIVE!!! Obviously we were in the midst of a slide but the Bucs were terrible. A less talented team with a walking dead coach and we lost. I got texts from people I hadn't heard from in a couple of years. This year we have a pretty damn good team and the Bucs are even worse than last year. I can't even imagine the cruelty if we lose to them again.
