Side note.... once again so glad we got Norman. He was a real difference maker all season.

He hasn't been a complete game changer but he ranks about dead last on things I'm worried about on this team.

This team could have beaten Carolina with any sort of execution from our O and Kirk tonite

Darlin' we are 26th in total defense with him. Bottom ten in points given up. Sure we could be worse.. but not by much.

the thing is you need a complete team to be contenders year in and year out if we had a middle of the road defense perhaps we win on days the offense isnt working ,

I'm simply talking about this team, this night against the Panthers.

And signing him did, in no way, deny us from doing anything else or signing anyone else. He is not the problem. He was a good signing and will be a key player to build around as we restock the defense.

The money we spent on Norman should have gone towards a real defensive line. This is Stewarts first 100 game since the last time he played the Redskins. And the Panthers just embarrassed our high powered offense with two rookies.

I will also note.... if we dont at least bring some one in to compete with Hopkins for the kicking job, our GM should seriously be questioned.

The problem isnt who we missed because we signed him.

The problem is, we never even tried to address the D-line. The concept that we had the cap space to sign him two weeks into free agency, And had added NOTHING to the D-line is what should concern most of us. If anything Norman should have been icing on the cake... not the whole forking cake as it were.
