Next week's CFP rankings...? This is a guess on my part.
(1)Georgia (9-0)
(2)Ohio St (9-0)
(3)Michigan (9-0)
(4)TCU (9-0)
(5)Tennessee (8-1)
(6)LSU (7-2)
(7)Oregon (8-1)
(8)USC (8-1)*
(9)UCLA (8-1)*
(10)Ole Miss (8-1)

1) Georgia
2) Ohio State
3) Tennessee
4) Michigan
5) TCU
6) LSU
7) Oregon
8) USC^
9) UCLA^
10) Ole Miss

My Thing with Tennessee being where they were is because:

A) They Beat Bama and Kentucky.
B) They got thrown to #1 Georgia, who was #3 at the time.

Houston.....14--21--14--14---63
SMU............21--35--7---14---77

If you love defense this was not the game for you.:D

Take that 1989 Houston Cougars...a 95-21 run up the score victory over SMU.

I did a triple take when I was this score last night. What a joke.

56 points in one quarter!!

Wrong

ARTICLE 16. a. When it is obvious that a scrimmage kick will be made, no opponent shall run into or rough the kicker or the holder of a place kick (A.R. 9-1-16-I, III and VI).

That ball is 30+ yards behind the LOS and the punter is running backwards. There is nothing obvious that he will be punting that ball. It was a TERRIBLE call. Even worse the referee told Drinkwitz it was because he was in the tackle box....so he didn't even know the rule. Terrible

Trying to justify your incorrect reading of the rules on multiple sites doesn't work either.

Even the St Louis Dispatch acknowledged it was a CORRECT call while lobbying for a change to it.

We shall mark you safe from understanding football rules.

I can read what it says...he is not established as a kicker when is running 40 yards to a loose ball.

I don't think Tennessee is bye yet.

I'd say Switch 1 and 3.
They are going to need some help. and its not just that they lost. they didn't look competitive at all. Tenn. and GA both have a cake schedule to finish the year out, so I doubt either has any more losses. Then the SEC champ game. Which is probably going to be GA vs. LSU. I just don't see it happening.

Two things

1) I have seen 3, including Saturday game, Tennessee games. They are very competitive. Alabama game is a good case point. I think they just got dealt a huge body blow and couldn't get back.

2) "The big game" is still to be played

hey no doubt. They've been impressive this year. especially the Bama game.

but Saturday, they couldn't do much. it was a terrible showing. It was 27-6 (2 FGs) until the last 2 min. of the game when Tenn finally scored a TD in garbage time.

What's the big game? They aren't going to make the SEC champ game unless GA loses. Are you talking about "THE Game"? If OSU/mich play a close game neck and neck the whole way, and OSU wins say 31-28, Mich. may not drop or at worst 1 spot. This has happened numerous times in the polls if two good teams play and the loser doesn't drop.

plus they have TCU to deal with.
