IIRC Matt Canada is known to be arrogant... It was documented some time ago. Dating back to his college days. He will "die trying" by forcing his offense to work before admitting that it doesn't.
yeah and look at his body of work….how does he keep getting jobs

Well according to various sources he is a very creative & intelligent scheme coach. Andy Reid at some point in time (IIRC on Mike & Mike) said that "Matt Canada might be the best new offensive mind in football". Even credited him for some of his own coaching inspiration for pre-snap motion.

However that doesn't appear to be the case at all. Dude couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.

The end-arounds & jet sweeps aren't going to continue to work when you put that tape out there. We saw that happen last year.

Gotta admit I was pretty damn happy with how well Dan Moore played yesterday.

Also... Mitch didn't look very good, but at least he showed up when they needed him most

He had a few nice blocks yesterday. Don't feel as bad at the RB position at much with the way he played. Granted Canada's scheme's give the RB's ZERO chance to make a play and then the dreaded run block from the o-line.

Speaking of RB's blocking, I don't have video, but they brought in Watt to block on a passing play. He literally had to choose between 4 different Bengal defenders to block as it seemed the interior o-line let everything through.

Trubs didn't look bad early on when you guys had the lead but the play calling was straight trash.

Trubs likes his TE's. Big game for our two guys yesterday.
Post #66 above... Might be reading too far between the lines there, but it sounds like DJ wanted Trubisky to call the shots and take the playcalling out of Canada's hands.

He wasn't that good but giving him a game 1 mulligan since he was running for his life most of the game. ON top of the obvious replacing a HOF QB, trying to prove you can start in this league and has a rookie 1st round pick waiting on the side line.

There is a very high probably that Ben did this a LOT last year. Taking Canada out of the equation. Hence why everyone thought it was more Ben's offense than Canada's... BUT if you'll recall, the offense rarely looked good UNTIL the 2nd half. Typically when Ben went no-huddle.

That alone should tell you a lot about Canada's offense.
