the main reason why I like Paul Johnson's offense is because nobody runs it and no defense prepares for it more than two weeks out of the year. I just am a big fan of when everybody is going left you go right and see what happens and Paul Johnson has had success doing that.

Nebraska never should have gone cute just smash Em with the option.

Outside of a couple of years there (Bo's first few years), Nebraska's problems have been more based in defense than offense.

The offenses problems have been turnovers and penalties (discipline), but when they weren't doing those they moved the ball pretty well.

So here's how I sees it Nebraska is stuck in neutral as far as recruiting and player development. I do think this new coaching staff as well is the strength and conditioning coach is very much improvement over the last staff who seemingly just gave up at times during games and the season.

the bottom line is I think we're still in the middle of the big 10. I think we should be able to beat Minnesota though

Well we just won't know until we see the product on the field in the next couple of years. If there are big changes to the offense and defensive philosophies it'll likely be 2016 (at the earliest) before we see any forward movement.

I would gladly take Paul Johnson. He has been on my radar since the HWSNBN hire.

We need a great DC. I wish MR would hire outside of his buddies

If the option game hadn't been figured out a long time ago, more teams would be using it. Besides, Johnson has a lower winning percentage running the option offense than Pelini had running no offense.:suds:
