And we apparently don't have one. Don't get me wrong, I like Parise, I like Elias, I like Kovy... but none of them are leaders. I miss Scott Stevens, and even though I know not every one is at that level, we don't have anyone close to that. Can someone on this team get fired up?! Can anyone get pissed off?! Can someone motivate the team?! This is the STANLEY CUP FINALS and we are facing a sweep, elimination! That isn't enough to motivate these players?

I don't care if Parise walks, and I mean that. I know he is a great player and I know he can score 40 goals, but he isn't doing anything for this team that another $7M/yr player couldn't do. Where are those intangibles?

Scott Stevens was a REAL captain. He would have never let something like this happen. Not like this. This team is just going through the motions.

You know, the Devils swept the Red Wings as the underdogs....i think that's alot worse than the Devil's getting swept by the team that has only lost twice since April

I think we need to relax a bit. I agree the leadership is questionable, but we got to the finals when we didn't have a whole lot of business being here. Parise is a great player and I'm not sure there is anybody out there, or anybody that will be available for awhile that could replace his production. We're not making the playoffs next year, book it? Are you high?

The reason I say we're lucky to be where we are is because this team has a decent amount of flaws. We can't defend down low, we can't win faceoffs, we have a pretty weak PP, and we struggle to breakout of our own end. We have talent for sure, but I don't think too many people would have predicted us to get this far.
