It was a necessary move. At the same time, Darryl Sutter did bring respectability back to the franchise and for that, he deserves thanks. Not sure if Jay Feaster is the best man to right the ship, but he deserves a chance.

It will be interesting to see if Feaster is given the green light to blow up the franchise or not. Of course the Flames have several players with no trade clauses so that could hamper things.

I doubt anything happens between now and the trade deadline...The irony in Sutter stepping down is that the Flames have played quite well the last couple of weeks and with a little more puck luck could be even closer to a playoff spot. Odds are they won't make it, but you like to see guys putting up numbers which is nothing else could bring back a nice return (if it comes to that).

Okay, as much as I hate to do it, Iggy for Crosby :D

How about Rene Bourque for Goligoski? I wouldn't object to that move.

That move would be okay if Feaster plans to move more defensemen for more skill up front (Regehr + ?? for a top 3 forward). I like the Flames defense, though, they need to get rid of some deadwood up front.
