I mean, if we all think back, we all did what Henry did...we all rode in the back of trucks, stood up, did stupid things that never looked like it would KILL you...hurt? Yes. Kill? No way.

Certain people on the adhd or autism spectrum don't really respond to well to people trying to mentor them. they feel no special gratitude or affection for people who are trying to manipulate them into being something they are not. they usually either fail to see the benefit or have no immediate desire. similar to socio paths.

what he needs is therapy.

Maybe.

There are also a lot of sports players across the league that actually do not like playing their sport. They do so because they've been good all their life, and because it pays very well...but if given the option - they'd probably prefer to retire/quit and go do something else.
