We are dangerously close to being stuck with Caldwell for a long time

Playoffs. Why not ? The division is terrible and aside from the Cowboys what other team in the NFC is clearly better ? I don't see them winning fewer than 7 which I think is what it would take for him to get canned. They're in 1st place halfway through for God's sake. They're at least as good as anyone in the division. Hth do you root for them to lose at this point ?

That depends on what their record ends up as......My guess is of the teams you mentioned and the Lions are all mediocre.......We shall find out in 7 more weeks if we were beating good teams, bad teams or mediocre teams.

Vikes and Packers lost today. I just realized now the Lions are actually in first place. This is a sobering thought. If the Lions finish first we could be stuck with him for a couple more years and miss out on Josh McD.

Caldwell is a darn good coach and Josh McDaniels did a terrible job at Denver. I'd take Caldwell over McDaniels any day.

Sorry Pal. No way. McD even made Tebow look like an NFL QB. He also kept a journal of every mistake he made as a head coach. His second time around will be great. Guys like Belicheck and Pete Carrol were not good in their first HC job either. Look at them now.

McDaniels was terrible as the Denver Broncos coach.

McDaniels does suck but if you think Caldwell is a good coach you really need to see him coach your own team firsthand to realize how bad of an in game decision maker he is.
