Popovich was hoping that the momentum of going home infront of a friendly crowd, embarrassment over quitting in game two and an over confident Warrior team might combine to get his team a victory while still allowing Leonard to rest for game 4. A big gamble but what choice does he have if Leonard is not ready.

Steph looked 100% in the finals. Sure he was injured early on, but someone who is still injured can't make cuts like he did in the finals. I remember tearing my mcl and my knee was stiff as hell.

Watch again. Then notice that every time he shoots or leaves the floor he lands on 1 leg with his injured leg out in front. That is not his natural motion. He was compensating for his injury.
