GREAT WIN by the SHARKS!!!

I didnt read the whole thread, but anybody who has watched this whole series and can possibly come to the conclusion that the Canucks are getting the short side of the stick when it comes to penalties are completely fucking delusional. The refs have been awful but the Canucks have nothing to complain about.

Alright that was mean. But I struck out at the bars with the girl I spent the entire night (and two dirinks on), and after playing against a class act coach like Babcock, I lost a lot of respect for Vignealt (or however you spell that jerks name) and his restarted comments.

The coaches doing some whining is nothing new. They are just trying to get an edge for next game. I think both teams took a lot of lazy penalties. Just an ugly game. I know a lot of people like the excitement of PP's but I don't. I would much prefer full strength for both sides and have some flow to the game. Oh well, the outcome was exactly what I thought it would be. Congrats to Sharks fans for the win. Go Canucks on Sunday.

didn't read through the game thread. my take:

congrats on Sharks showing up. They played very well, and all the 'dumb' went away.
sure wish both teams would show up at the same time.
some canucks were saying that they thought they were the better team 5 on 5. How the hell could you even tell.
awful, awful game. 10 powerplays? Not blaming the loss on the refs (we had our 5 on 3 chances too), but that was a brutal game in terms of flow.
Kesler needs to get back to Beast mode, because Thornton is outclassing him right now
4th line..... if you don't hit, you really are useless (Bolduc 3, Oreskovich 2, Glass 0). Too damned close to useless.
More specifically... hit Boyle every single chance. He's the glue, and there's only one of him (Weber/Suter, Seabrook/Keith)
I keep harping on this, but pretty much every game we have outhit the opponent, we have won. It's not that fucking tough.

i dont completely agree with this ... all but 2 of jumbos points this series have been power play points

coming into this series I wasnt expecting Kes to put up big points if he had to match up against joe ... I was looking at it like the chicago series ... if he could play him to a draw like he did with Toews 5 on 5 I would be happy

they keep stressing mobility to get away from the forecheck, so I assumed Ballard would be next. With shattered confidence, who knows anymore.

Kes in on the PP as well and PK. So he has a chance to match that (well, not with 10 penalties to kill, of course). But joe's been a pretty serious force out there.
It's still early, but at this point Joe is winning the match-up. That being said, if Joe is against kes, the Sedins also get a lighter match-up.
