I think most are forgetting Haskins doesn't even have close to a full season under his belt, not even close to determine what exactly he is.

If you combine his 3 years of high school varsity football, 500 att. His 2 years at OSU, 590 att. And his 9 starts and 11 total games played in the pros. 267 att. The kid only has 1357 official pass attempts in his entire football career going back to hg sch. There are probably a good number of high school QBs that eclipse that many pass att before going to college. Add in that the Skins have no one other than McLaurin that's worthy of fear or even respect at this point at any of the offensive skilled positions. An iffy OL and no legitimate OTAs or offseason.

And peeps are already talking of benching him. Well, I guess its good to see that no matter how much or what really the Skins will eventually become as a team far as name-wise, color scheme etc. It appears they will always have some janky ass fans with no patience and less foresight. Who after 2 games are already benching the current starter and making plans to have the #1 pk next year so they can get their next brand new shiny toy.

If Allen was significantly better I might advocate for him to get a chance but I don't know that is the case. Smith is a feel good story that has to be paid either way. I don't think he gets on the field. Haskins was Snyder's pick so he is going to play anyhow. We should make the best of it and hope the kid improves. He is still very young in the game.

Agreed about Allen. I have no clue what he's capable of myself, but if anyone does it would be RR. What it would take for RR to sit Haskins in favor of Allen only RR knows.

Far as Haskins. I don't know, but at this point it may be even better for Haskins in the long run so to speak, if he was able to sit and absorb from the bench as opposed to on the field. On not, like I said, I don't know. Regardless though, even if one believes he should be benched. They could at least acknowledge that due to circumstances out of his control. He caught the short end of the stick as it relates to when he entered the NFL and what team he ended on as well.

I don't even know what to think about Smith. I applaud him for fighting his way back to the point where he's presently at. Hell, he was dangerously close to losing his leg and possibly his life. His attitude/outlook on life is pretty amazing and humbling as well. But for him to want to get back out there on the football field. I can't say I fully understand that. And it blows my mind, I mean absolutely blows my mind. That in the 20 years of Snyder ownership. He is far n away the most successful QB from a team perspective aspect the Skins have had.

Excellent point Breed. I agree with your thinking.

And as to Alex, I personally feel he should never go on the field for us again. We can’t afford yet another QB to be gravely injured again at this franchise, no matter that he might be the best choice or that he wants to get out on the field at any cost.

My opinion only... but can you imagine the shit storm if he got hurt here? Let him go to another team for that.
