Has anyone ever said they didn't suck? But UW didn't lose that game because of the refs, they lost it with special teams and stupid penalties.

Just when I was patting the college review referees on the back for standing firm.

The PAC 12 referee crew goes and ruins it.

All the precedents set in IowaSt-Texas, ohio State-northwestern, and KState-Okiest get thrown out the window.

Do the PAC 12 refs get paid less than every other league.

They are by and away the worst of any league.

Not only that, but the replay booth often times has different angles.

Also, in college, it is the upstairs replay official who tells the official on the field what to say.

But from the back angle, it looked to me like it initially hit the turf. If you wanna say it is not 100% conclusive, fine. But IMO it did hit.

Thats my argument, I don't think it was 100% conclusive... and it has to be to overturn the call on the field...

No but i am watching it on a 55" LED Samsung and the ball bounced on the turf before he caught the ball. Clear as day.

I am too actually, I didn't see that, I guess I need to see a better angle on the replay... I saw the ball touch the ground, but i looked like his arm was under part of it...

watching replay right now on ESPN Sportcenter, even with the slow mo replay....it appears he got his arm under the ball

I'm watching on a 70" LED TV and the ball definitely did not bounce before the catch. After the catch maybe. Maybe.

Dude I went back and ran it in slow motion.....frame by frame.....you cannot see if the ball touches the ground, and it does not move one bit.

It was a terrible call.

if it was a close call, then let the game continue and let the players decide it.

the players did decide. The pass from the qb to the wr was incomplete.

Washington played their asses off and have nothing to hang their heads about.

The tip can touch the ground. That does not make it incomplete.

You are allowed to make a catch and have the tip touch the ground during the catch process.

it just cant hit the ground before you make the catch.

it really doesn't matter. That play didn't lose the game. The terrible kickoff coverage lost the game. The stupid penalties on the offense and two hands to the face on the defense calls lost the game.

Still, UW overcame their issues and came back. It was the kind of heart and determination they didn't have in prior years. It was a gritty game and they came up just short. Better luck next time.
