Time: 3pm (PST)
Location: Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Arizona.
TV: PAC12 Network
Current spread: ASU -3

Should a great match up. Both teams are 4-2 on the year. This game is critical for both teams for eventual bowl positioning and to maintain a presence in the Top 25. Expect a lot of scoring in this game. It sets up well to be a typical desert shootout.

Keys to the game for both teams:

Washington:

Establish the Run with Bishop Sankey whose one of the best in the nation. ASU's defense has struggled to stop the run so far this year.

While UW likes to run the ball this year, they have got to get the passing game rolling this game. Huskies have one of the better WR corps in the nation, including All-American TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins. It’s time to get ASJ rolling and this is a perfect game to do so.

After loses to #2 Oregon and #5 Stanford, Huskies need to shake all that off, and refocus itself on this Saturdays game.

Limit the big play capabilities of the ASU passing attack. ASU QB Taylor Kelly has developed great chemistry with WR Jaelen Strong who’s had five consecutive 100-yard games.

Keep Marion Grice out of the end zone.

ASU:

ASU Dline needs to perform better than it has so far this year to shutdown/limit the UW run game. Turning the game into a shootout will benefit ASU.

Marion Grice has scored the most TDs in the nation and a beast in the red-zone. He can do it with his legs and his hands. ASU needs to put him to work every time they get near that goal line.

Establish the pass rush. Limit Keith Price's decisions. ASU's secondary is good at shutting down big pass plays, but this game will put them to the test. ASU has capitalized on turning INTs into points in 2013 against its competition. They’ll need a big day against the weapons UW is bringing down with them, including Kasen Williams, ASJ, and Jaydon Mickens & John Ross in the slot.

Final score prediction: UW 42 – ASU 31

Our d-line isn't the problem in the run game, it's LBs missing tackles and safeties taking bad angles. In contrast to last year teams are having a very hard time running up the gut on us but have killed us going off tackle. Moving LB Chris Young from the Will back to his natural position at Spur, which is a hybrid LB/DB role in our defense, will help and so has getting back safety Damarius Randall from injury who has been a monster in the two games he's played.

NT Jaxon Hood who was a freshman all-american last year is also going to be 100% along with his backup 380 lb Mo Latu for the first time since they both were injured against Stanford. Besides safety Marcus Ball, who has been injured all season, this will be the first time that our defense is 100% healthy. Still, I think this game will be a shootout coming down to the team that makes the least amount of mistakes and wins the turnover battle.

It will be interesting to see how many fans UW puts in the stadium. As we mentioned before the Thursday night NFL match up between the Seahawks and Cardinals there is a huge group of fans that went down there to see both games. Not sure if any of you heard the cheering in the stands, but it was nearly as loud when Seattle was on defense as when Arizona was and they couldn't drown out the chants. It was amazing.

There will be more UW fans at that game probably than have ever traveled there before. That should help energize the team.

The other thing not mentioned is this is a 3pm game in the heat. UW is not used to playing in that, at least not in a couple of months. They have been hydrating all week, but what advantage does ASU have?

I've seen a good amount of UW fans around Tempe. There'll probably be about as many as there were Wisconsin fans. All of our fairweather season ticket holders sell their tickets to fans of the opposing teams.

The heat shouldn't be a factor. It's been beautiful here all week. It's projected to be 85 at kickoff so probably low 90s on the field but it'll cool off fast.

no joke here. The Seahawk fans filled a local bar and gave them the biggest night they had ever had. Ran them totally out of beer and most of their food. They couldn't reopen until after 2pm today because it took that long to restock enough to open the doors. The GM said he had never seen anything like it. Said there were no fights and no problems at all. Great crowd that simply drank the locals under the table.

So we not only kicked their ass on the field, but after the game too. :yahoo:

The Seahawk fan presence looked awesome at the game. Amazing display after the game when all the fans were packed in front on the NFL network desk cheering Wilson.

Heard many sticking around for ASU game and Sark mentioned the visiting team tix batch was heavily sold as well. Should be lots of Huskies there. Good. Make it as neutral site as possible.

Go Dawgs!!!

Man I cant believe we never drafted Russel. If we didnt trade for Kolb and give up DRC and our 2nd round pick :L. Anyway its time for Keim to help out that solid defense, and get a dual threat qb plenty in this draft. Its time with a dual threat qb you dont need to focus so much on your line. Cards line has always been awful, and we need to stop trying to get "the next warner" Palmer is garbo and needs to go. At least we played you guys tough for 2 quarters and a half and it wasn't 58-0 :L. I was at the game, and the hawk fans were nicer than usual.

Cards look way better than last year. Especially at D. You're not a dumpster fire. You can beat the Falcons this week. That's a dumpster fire going on there in Atlanta.

Plenty to be optimistic for with the Cards. Palmer may not be the long term answer, but at least buys you some time to build your team via the draft until the right QB comes along.

Anyway, back to the subject here. UW demolishing some Sun Devils tomorrow.

Go Dawgs!!!

Always talent on that defense its just they stopped caring because of how poor the offense was. Im sitting on the visitors side tomorrow, hope there aren't to many dawg fans had to deal with the crazy seattle fans on Thursday lol. Lets Go Devils!
