What are you talking about? Oregon was wearing alternate uniforms before Wazzu started their multiple helmet wearing. And Phil Knight was highly broadcasted before the Oregon/Stanford game on Primetime due to his affiliation with both programs.

Lol - Considering the population of the state and size of school the only way to be in the top 5 is to spend like crazy. I've said it a million times on this board, the Oregon/Nike influence is huge. I live in the Dallas area and you see Oregon stuff on kids frequently.

You got your history wrong dude. Washington State went to Nike to get them to make our new uniforms. Nike didn’t want to give money to Pac 10 schools. Washington State and Mississippi State successfully petitioned the NCAA to change the rules allowing the multiple uniforms. And shockingly enough, the design we gave Nike that we couldn’t use until the NCAA allowed it ended up being used by Nike for the Broncos during Elway’s two Super Bowl victories
